Bavaro Suites

Post by nineys1 » Thu Apr 20, 2017 5:05 pm

Okay, so I was booked at RST but switched to Bavaro Suites (you all may think I'm nuts) but today there was a $200 price difference and we could use that money. We booked a Master Junior Suite. What building and what rooms would be the best to request? I keep reading villa 19 on trip advisor room hints. My neighbor stayed in building 28 in February and loved that. Both are close to the beach. Any suggestions? Minou? Leslie? Are there renovated rooms there?

They are located in the new buildings located down by the sea in the Bavaro section (2 nd building 17-19 (behind the one with the swim-ups, and next to PC building 2000). They are 3rd floor and include the roof top terrace. These rooms are relatively new (about 3 years old).

Thank you! I knew you would come through, Minou! If you were staying in this room category, which would you choose?

Because I am a beach/ocean person I would select building 19 because the loft area in some rooms will have a partial ocean view. However, it is right beside building 2000 so there may be some noise. Building 17 would be more quiet, but father back from the ocean (but not that far to walk to the ocean or pool). 19 would be my choice.

Thanks again. It would be nice to be close to the beach. When it's time to put in my request, building 19 it will be!

I'm not familiar with which Bavaro Villas have the Master Junior Suites but have you seen the map so you can check on building 17 that Minou mentioned?

Thanks, Leslie. I was looking at the map and in the aerial view which was taken in 2011, buildings 19, 19b , 18 and 17 weren't even there yet. I'm confused as to why building 19 would need renovated when it's new! Can this be correct?

They may feel the décor is dated and needs to be refreshed (paint, curtains etc).

I guess so. I still find it odd to say the least. I actually was chatting with someone at the Palladium website and she didn't really have any answers to my questions but gave me the email to the bavaro hotel and said they could probably answer my questions. I sent them an email to see what I could find out. I will probably just request 18 or 17. I will talk to my neighbor more that stayed in villa 28 and enjoyed it. They aren't picky though, they go camping for 2 weeks straight in Ocean City with none of the comforts of home. Lol.

Requests are never filled until the day before your arrival and they depend upon availability. They will not promise you a specific room.

Nothing wrong with any of the three buildings.

Yes, I won't request anything until a week before we leave. I was just wanting some info from them. You have been very helpful to me, Minou. Thanks.

I'm assuming you used the Chat function on the PHG website. I think those people are basically there to help if people are having trouble booking and they're probably instructed to give emails for whatever other questions come up.

I received an answer about the locations of the Master Junior Suites from the hotel contact who answers questions on Trip Advisor. He said that there are none in buildings 17, 18 and 19. They are located on the ground floor/first floor of all the other villas. I will definitely request a suite as close to the beach as possible.
