Bavaro Luxury Junior Suites

Post by Ronnie » Mon Jan 08, 2018 9:43 pm

My wife, daughter (5) and I are considering booking a trip for Feb. We are are looking at staying in the Bavaro section in a Luxury Junior Suites.
Has anyone stayed in these suites before? Thoughts?
Am I correct to assume staying in the Bavaro we have access to everywhere in the resorts except RST?
How many a la cartes are you allowed when staying in the Bavaro section?
Does anyone know how much wifi costs? I never get to fully detach from work :(
Can you get cell phone reception while at the resort?
With our 5 yr old coming with us, how have other families found this resort for small children? Did you do any excursions with them?

Hi Ronnie,
Although I haven't stayed in one of these rooms since they were last renovated, I have seen how nice they were when they were completed. These suites are beautiful and immaculately clean. I think you will be very pleased.
We vacationed at the resort when our grandchildren were young and we all had a fantastic experience. My daughter took the children on the jungle safari and despite it being an all day excursion, they all enjoyed the trip and learned many things about the Dominican way of life.
When staying at one of the three sister resorts, you have access to all the pools, lobbies and restaurants throughout the entire complex. The only area you cannot utilize, as you already stated, is the Royal Suites and their restaurants. There will be a listing in your brochure package of all the restaurants available for your use. The complex of all three sections is very large and you may find yourself doing a lot of walking, depending on the location of your villa. I highly recommend using your resort map and hopping on the train to familiarize yourself with all the facilities after you are settled in your room. Then decide what interests you an mark where they are on the map for future reference.
Regarding the wifi costs, every lobby has DSL and WiFi –free. In Royal DSL is also free and has WiFi in the rooms as well.
Premium WiFi in Room
Palace, Punta Cana, Bavaro Rooms – 1 day -10 USD, 2 days 20 USD, 7 days 40 USD, 10 days 50 USD
As for you cell phone, Ddring the past year many new cell towers have been added and service has improved dramatically. Unfortunately not all cell phone carriers have service available. Check with your provider in advance. (Verizon works very well at the Palladium.)
