Forum Set Up Guide
We invite you to participate in the testing of a new Palladium Addict forum. Our new service provider has provided this forum to us and it has many more features than the MSN forum. There are a number of enhancements both up front and behind the scenes. One of the biggest tools available to you as a user is a search function.
This guide is intended to help you get set up on the new Palladium Addict forum. We invite you to register and evaluate this forum. This is a one-time set up and we suggest you print this out before proceeding or you can open another browser window and switch back and forth.
1) Click on this link to open the
Palladium Addict Forum this is the main page. You may want to bookmark this.
2) Click on the "Register" link on the top right corner.
3) Accept the agreement applicable to you from the bottom of the page.
4) Enter a user name or screen name that you wish people to see.
5) Enter a valid email address. You can later choose to have this email address visible or not.
6) Enter and confirm a password. This password cannot be retrieved but can be reset if forgotten. Your password is case sensitive.
7) Enter the confirmation code as seen (case sensitive)
8) Fill in any profile information that you wish, these fields are not mandatory.
9) Set your preferences. If you are unsure of the setting accept the default. These can be changed at any time after registration by simply clicking on your "profile" link one line under where you clicked to register.
10) Under time zone we are asking you to set it to - 4. This is Eastern Standard Time and will keep the time stamps on the bulletin board in the same time zone. This will show the time on your registration and postings as Eastern Standard Time. Should you choose to enter the actual time zone that you are in it is no problem.
11) Click on "submit"
12) Click on "Here" to navigate to the main page.
13) Click on "login" on the top right corner
14) Enter your user name and password.
15) Put a check mark in the "Log me in automatically each visit" if desired. THIS WILL HAVE TO BE DONE FOR EACH ACTIVE SESSION.
16) Click on "Login" and you are on the bulletin board
17) You will see two three forums, choose one.
18) Have a look around and get some posts going !!!
19. Please note there are links on the bottom of the header at the top of the page, these will take you to the specific site and then you may use your browsers "back" button to return to the forum.
