The resort was built in 1999 by another company. Fiesta purchased the resort in 2004 and immediately began upgrading the property. Las Terrazas and a beach bar were built, all restaurants were renovated, an outside terrace was added to the Viva Mexico restaurant, and more beach access was constructed. The rooms throughout buildings 1, 2, & 3 were remodeled and their decor changed. The resort has one prototype room undergoing complete renovation from the ground up in building #3. This prototype will be the basis for a decision on renovating all rooms in buildings 1, 2, & 3. Fiesta added the new Royal Suites section which opened in February of 2007. It consists of a Royal lobby, buildings 4 & 5, a pool, a restaurant, and its own beach area. Click here for a map of the resort.
The resort also has facilities to host conventions. There are separate meeting rooms for this purpose. Contact the resort for more information.
BUILDINGS 1 THROUGH 3
Buildings 1 through 3 contain what are called standard rooms and have either one king bed or two double beds. All rooms have a separate bathroom which includes a combination tub/shower, toilet and vanity with blow dryer. All amenities such as shampoo, soap, etc. are provided. The room itself has a television and a mini fridge which is stocked daily with 3 beer, 3 water and 3 pop. There is a small coffee machine with the normal amenities and an ice bucket. There is a telephone but no clock however Guest Services will be more than accommodating should you require a wake up call. Please note that although the electricity is standard 110 volt, there is no grounding prong, you may wish to bring an adapter if you have any electrical appliances with three prongs. Each room is equipped with a small private balcony with two chairs and a small table. There are two types of upgrades available; these are superior ocean view or superior garden view rooms. You can check with your travel agent or the hotel directly regarding this upgrade. There are a number of connecting rooms for family occupancy. Again, this can be arranged through your travel agent or the hotel. Each room has a small programmable safe, iron and ironing board, blanket and extra pillows in the closet area.

TWO SPECIAL ROOMS
The resort has two special rooms that are not well advertised. These rooms are located in building 3 and both have spectacular ocean views. The first is what they call the "Romantic Room" (room # 3302) and many times it is occupied by honeymooning guests. The décor is different than the standard rooms and the room itself is much larger. It has a large jetted Jacuzzi on its deck and a unique glass and marble shower in the bathroom.
The second is the Penthouse. This suite was originally designed for the owner / manager of the resort before Fiesta took over. It features a full sized kitchen (outside), a large air conditioned room that contains the main bath, vanity, and the sleeping area. There is an area just outside the kitchen that has a huge sitting area and a hammock off to the side. It is truly beautiful and the view is spectacular.
Please contact the resort to receive more information about either of these rooms.
THE ROYAL SUITES
 |
Fiesta added the Royal Suite complex to the resort in February 2007. The Royal suites are adults only during the winter months. At present they do allow children during the summer months but this is under review. The Royal lobby houses its own check in, lobby bar, two internet PCs, concierge service, a sitting area, and a place to shower and store your luggage for late check outs. It also has a calling card dispenser and phones. It is a great place to enjoy your evening night cap.
The rooms in the Royal suites are located within buildings 4 & 5 on the map. Each building has three floors. There are two styles of rooms, the first having a separate bathroom and the second having the open bathroom concept. All rooms have a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower as well as a fold out sofa. All rooms have fridges, coffee machines, programmable safes, irons, ironing boards, TV, hair dryers, etc. Some rooms have a king bed while others have two double beds. There is no set area for one type of room and the two designs are located randomly throughout the buildings.
There are four Master Suites located on the end of building five. They are on the second and third floors and overlook the Royal pool and also have a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean. Each suite has a separate dining / sitting area with a half bath and a pull out sofa. The bedroom is separated by two sliding wooden doors. The bedroom has a king bed, vanity, large marble shower, separate toilet, and a large closet. The spacious balcony has a sitting area and a two person raised Jacuzzi. The balcony can be accessed from the bedroom or the sitting area. There is a TV located in each of the rooms. They have all the same amenities as listed in the suites above. The following pictures are from Suite 5215.
