Can I request a specific room, building or floor before arriving?
Yes. Approximately one week before arriving e-mail the reservations department with your request. You will receive a reply stating that they will try to honor it but cannot guarantee it.
What types of rooms are there at the resort?
Buildings 1, 2, & 3 have standard rooms with closed bathrooms. There are some rooms that connect so they are ideal for families. There is one special room located in building #3 which houses a room which they refer to as the romantic room. Building 3 also contains a very unique room referred to as the Penthouse Suite. The Royal Suites are located in buildings 4 & 5. They are mainly a mix of Jr. Suites with open and closed bathroom concepts. On the end of building #5, on the second and third floors there are four Suites overlooking the Royal pool and the ocean. For more information please visit our accommodations page.
Are there open and closed bathrooms?
At present the only open bathrooms are located in the Royal Suites. They are split approximately 50/50 and are located randomly throughout buildings 4 & 5.
If I want to book a suite, where are they located?
There are four suites located on the end of building 5 overlooking the ocean. On the 2nd floor they are #5115 & #5116. On the 3rd floor they are #5215 & #5216. For a few pictures please visit our accommodations page.
Are there any non-smoking rooms available?
No. Smoking is permitted in all rooms.
I would like to order something special for our room, is there a list?
At present there is no formal list to order from. They have many nice ideas such as fruit arrangements, wine, champagne, chocolate strawberries, etc. You can email Guest Services for more information
Is it safe to use the ice and drink the tap water?
The tap water is not drinkable. Ice is imported daily and all drinks on site are safe. There is lots of bottled water both onsite and in your mini-bar daily.
Do I have to bring my own soap and shampoo?
No. Shampoo, body soap gel, lotion, bar soap wash clothes & wash sponges along with a shower cap and razor kit are supplied.
Do I need to bring an adapter for the electrical outlets?
No. The electricity is 110 volts. The Royal Suite outlets accept the standard three prong plugs used in Canada and the U.S. An extension cord is suggested since there are a limited number of free outlets. The rooms in buildings 1, 2, & 3 do not have the grounding prong so if you are bringing anything with three prongs you will need an adaptor.
Are there alarm clocks in the rooms?
No. They do offer a wake-up call service by notifying the front desk or operator the night before.
Are there coffee makers, hair dryers, irons, ironing boards, and safes in the rooms?
Yes.
Does the resort have Cribs?
Yes, but the spacing of the side bars is wider than in the United States and Canada
Can I receive incoming telephone calls in my room?
Yes. Incoming calls will be transferred to your room at no charge.
Can I use a calling card to make outgoing telephone calls from my room?
Yes, but there is a connection charge (do not know the amount) for each call including 800 numbers.
When do the maids service the rooms?
Maid service is from 8:30am and 4:30pm everyday. You may display the "Do Not Disturb" or "Make-up Room" placard if desired. At this time all maids are female.
How often is my mini-bar refilled?
Maid service does this daily. There is bottled water, soft drinks, and Barrilita beer
Are there any TV channels in English?
There are seventeen channels available on your room's TV. Two are in English - some with English sub-titles.
Can I book directly with the Palladium?
Yes. You can book on their Fiesta Hotel Group Website but you may find lower rates using a travel agent or on-line reseller.

Can I use walkie talkies in Mexico?
Yes, but please read this.
What are the check-in and checkout times?
Check-in time is 3pm. If your room is made-up you will be allowed to check-in early. Checkout time is noon on the day of your departure. You may be allowed a late checkout depending upon availability and with an extra charge. Late check out charge until 4pm is $40 USD and until 6pm is $60 USD. After 6pm is subject to a full night stay at the rack rate price.
What is the proper attire at the resort?
BEACH BARS: Swim suits and cover ups are fine. THE RESTAURANTS BY THE POOLS: Bathing suits are acceptable but must have a cover up and wear shoes/flip flops. ENCLOSED BUFFETS: Shorts, skirts, capris…anything casual is fine. Men should not wear sleeveless shirts. A LA CARTES: The a la cartes require men to be in long pants (i.e. dockers) and shoes/sandals; shirt with a sleeve/collar ( i.e. polo/tropical shirts). Women may wear capris, sun dresses, shoes/sandals.
Can I checkout the night before I leave?
Yes. You can check out and settle your account between 7pm and midnight the evening before leaving. Be sure to turn in your towel cards and get a "check out pass" that you'll need for the bell captain before being allowed to depart.
Is there a doctor at the resort?
Yes. There is a medical office that is located near the top of the resort next to the main buffet. They are available 24 hours a day.
Is laundry service available?
Yes. In your closet you'll find a price list and a plastic laundry bag. The clothes will be returned in 24-hours. They also offer express same day service for an additional charge.
Do I need local currency?
With a very few exceptions, U.S. dollars are accepted just about everywhere. The Palladium's front desks offer a currency exchange at the rate of 10 pesos to the dollar. At present there is no ATM on site but it is in the works. The Palladium will cash your travelers checks, currency given in Pesos. Currency conversion
Is there a car rental agency at the resort?
Yes. There is a Europcar car rental desk just off the lobby.
Is there any Internet available at the resort?
Yes. There are two PCs located in the sports bar. The cost is 50-pesos per half hour. Royal guests have free access to two terminals in their lobby plus an outlet for their personal laptops in each room. It uses a standard cat 5 ethernet connection.
What if a power failure occurs?
In case of emergency, the resort has its own back-up power generators.
Will my cell phone work in Mexico?
Most people have had good results. During the past year many new cell towers have been added along the Puerto Vallarta corridor and service has improved dramatically. Unfortunately not all cell phone carriers have service available. Check with your provider in advance.
Are beach towels supplied?
Yes. Upon arrival you will be issued 'towel cards' that can be exchanged for towels at several locations on the beach and pool areas. Towel exchange is during pool hours. Royal Suite guests have their own towel service and are not issued cards.
Does the beach have lifeguards on duty?
Yes. They are on duty from 9am to 5pm.
Where can I catch a taxi?
Taxis are readily available almost everywhere a tourist goes. You can ask for a taxi in either lobby of the resort. Have a look at the taxi rates.
Where can I catch the local bus?
There is a local bus that runs from Punta Mita to Puerto Vallarta. You stand on the side of the road at the resort entrance in the direction you wish to go. Cost is 180 pesos per trip. Make sure you tell the driver where you want off and they will stop just about anywhere. Once in Puerto Vallarta you switch to the local transit and the cost is 8 pesos and you can ask for a transfer.
Can I purchase calling cards at the resort?
Yes. There is a vending machine located just off the main lobby. There are phones located throughout the resort
How much cash should we bring with us?
Since your vacation is already pre-paid, not that much. At the Palladium you'll only need cash for tips and small incidentals. Generally 100 to 300 US dollars in singles and small bills will be sufficient (depending on length of stay and number of family members). If you plan on using a private transfer, shopping in town, or taking some side trips, bring additional funds and/or a credit card.

Are passes available for friends staying at other hotels and would like to visit me?
Yes. Both Day Passes (9am till 6pm) and Night Passes (6pm till 1am) are available at US$45 each for adults. Children 3-17 years old are half price.
What are the different color wristbands?
Gold - For VIPs, Visiting Fiesta Managers, Owner's Friends (based on the General Manager decision)
Black - For Royal Suite Guests.
Blue - For regular guests.
Yellow - For guests under 18.
What are the pool hours?
Main Pool 8am-8pm, Adult pool and Royal pool 8am-midnight.

Where can I watch major sporting events from back home?
The air-conditioned Sports Bar just off the main lobby has a few monitors showing many international sporting events via satellite TV. What you view is at the discretion of the staff.
Does the resort have a disco?
Yes, the Sunset Boulevard disco hours for adults are from 11pm to 2am. Early teen hours are from 8pm to 9pm, late teen hours are from 8pm to midnight and are subject to change depending on the season.

Is there a mini club for children?
Yes. The Mini Club offers your children a variety of supervised activities. Their hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm for children 4 to 12 years of age. Babysitting is available with a 24-hour notice, please inquire at the kid's club for current rates.
How many ala carte reservations will I get?
1 to 3 night stay - one reservation
4 to 6 night stay - two reservations
7 to 13 night stay - three reservations
14 to 20 night stay - four reservations
21 and more nights - eight reservations
Royal guests have unlimited reservations.
Can I make my ala carte dinner reservations before arriving?
No. They must be made in person at the guest services desk in the lobby, or by your concierge if a Royal guest. You can also book by phone.
When are the evening beach BBQs?
There is usually a beach BBQ scheduled for Saturday evenings and during peak times there may be a second BBQ. Any beach BBQ will be subject to the weather. There are 1/2 hour seatings from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. The only way to know for sure is to check with your guest services kiosk in the lobby. The BBQ DOES count as one of your a la carte reservations. Tables and chairs for a varied number of diners are set up on the beach terrace near the main pool. There is waiter service for wine and dress is causal. Food is grilled outside and served buffet style. The menu consists mostly of grilled food - ribs, chicken, steak, sausage, burgers, hot dogs, etc., along with an assortment of vegetables. There's also a salad bar, various breads/rolls, and fruits for dessert. There is something for everyone.
Is there a paella beach lunch?
There is a paella on the beach lunch open to all on Friday from 1:00pm to 2:30pm below the main pool. This is first come, first served until it is gone. This is not counted as one of your a la cartes.
What is the legal drinking age in Mexico?
Eighteen years old. All minors will receive a special color wristband alerting bartenders of their non-drinking status.
Is the milk they serve pasteurized?
Yes. It is ultra-pasteurized and needs no refrigeration until opened.
Do they serve Corona beer at the resort?
Yes. Corona beer is on tap.
