Re: Chic reservation charge

Ok on second thought you are right. That money... $360 pesos per person easily pays all the dancers and singers and most of the food bill. So I guess it ensures that Chic doesn't lose money for them and they can continue to offer the show at the resort. Makes good business sense. I am all for them ...

Re: Group of 14 - any tips/tricks

Water shoes. They take up so much space and are heavy, but it really can be a pain to get in and out of the water sometimes.
Yep, water shoes are a must, we just pack ours in our carry on bag, so weight isn't much of an issue.

Re: Chic reservation charge

It sounds like the $20 charge, deposit, or reservation fee is an attempt to control "no shows", empty seats at Chic could have been paid seats, I would imagine that the majority of their no shows were peeps that had Chic included at no charge. Shame they didn't do a better job of rolling this change...

Re: PV compared to RM

PV vs RM is 2 completely different vacations. Yes it is. Glad to hear the resort has held onto it's charms, it sounds like you and your family enjoyed it. :1: We last visited PV 5 years ago, being as our kid years are well behind us we would stay on the Royal side during our visits which of course ...

Re: Question re Private Transfer return trip

Both times were stressful because we weren’t sure if we’d get to the airport in time, and if they would accept that we had already paid for the round trip. Is this a trick rogue drivers use trying to pick up fares? Or have we just been unlucky getting the same thing the last two times with two sepa...

Re: GPRM vs GPCM?

Visited both last May, spending the first week at RM then on to CM for a second week, we have a number of Palladium visits under our belt with almost half of them being to RM which is our favorite Palladium property, with that being said we very much enjoyed our visit to CM, a different layout being...

Re: Changes?

One option would be to have locked drinks optics cabinet they had them when we stayed at Moon Palace and HRC, they'd pay for themselves in no time I'd imagine Yes I have seen those years ago at a Grand Bahia we stayed at, I had forgotten until I seen your post, just grab a shot or two when needed, ...

Re: 11th trip

Past visits, across all Palladium properties over the course of years, perhaps over a decade, with tens of thousands of customers over those years it is hardly surprising that when you check in for your 11th visit, which you have looked forward to all year with anticipation, that the gent at the che...

Re: FS NO longer receive CHIC and LOBSTER for Free?

They can't accommodate all the people that want tickets so are cutting back They offer tickets for sale to nearby resorts that also include a few hours on show night to hang around and enjoy TRS, those 'cash' seats is what allows them to be able to afford, and improve the show, makes sense, it is a...

Re: FS NO longer receive CHIC and LOBSTER for Free?

I have not heard of this at all. FS is the same as TRS but with kids. Where did you hear this? I have never stayed in the Family Selection area, however if you look up the inclusions it does make mention that the free Chic passes are only available till October 31st. https://www.palladiumhotelgroup...

Re: Change in resort's booking policy?

Looking at the two options, pre-payment and flexible, I am surprised that the price and cancellation conditions are the same for both, you would think they would offer a bit of a deal to lock your payment in and tighten up the cancellation window. If the intent is to help deal with exchange rate cha...

Re: Changes?

I always wondered what they did with the left over alcohol in those bottles at the end of the stay, disposal would be the only 100% safe way to deal with any opened bottles since you could never be absolutely sure that the alcohol had not been tampered with in some way, and if they were disposing of...
