Re: Best rooms

The TRS is about the same. Changes include the addition of Helios on the beach at the end of Building 50. Consequently the ocean view rooms in building 50 have basically disappeared. The beach is now smaller. They have refurbished the rooms, but not all. It certainly is not as new as the Coral (I wa...

Re: test dummy??

I am going later than the rest of you … end of November. However, I am more concerned about the conditions associated with the airlines than the resort. I have read about people booked for mid July who are being bumped to Cancun. While I enjoy Cancun, Mayan Riveria is where my heart is. Like the res...

Re: TRS - Where are the Suites with private pools

The TRS private pools are located in buildings 60-68. Most are located on the ground floor, with a few on the rooftops. It depends upon the room type which you wish, as there are several. Examine the room types using the following link. https://www.palladiumaddict.net/mexico-mayan-riviera/?c=accommo...

Re: TRS swim-ups

First of all I was mistaken about the night swimming. The adult pool is not part of the TRS (it is in the Palace area right beside the TRS). The adult pool has night swimming until midnight (with the swim-up pool). The TRS does not have night swimming in their pools. Each of the TRS swim-up building...

Re: TRS swim-ups

The resort discourages people from swimming at night for safety reasons (it is posted). The Romance suite is great (large separate shower, jacuzzi on the deck just outside the sliding doors. The junior suites shower is a typical walk in stand up shower with a frosted glass door. My favourite Romance...

Re: TRS Turquesa Romance Suite Swim Up Question

Not sure if the old showers are still in use or not. I know renos have been done in the older section (50-52) and some of the newer section. I loved those showers. I think they still may be around.

Re: Wishlist

Yucatan and Turquesa are similar, yet different. I have been to both at least 10 times each. I prefer Yucatan because of the service and food selection. Turquesa if you love the beach. The options are similar at both resorts. Tuequesa, you have to request when you get there while at Yucatan you can ...

Re: Wishlist

I agree with your summary. I have found the wishlist to be "hit or miss". Sometimes I get what I ask for (Example liquor) and other times I do not get what I ask for. Mexico's system is far superior to the Dominican in terms of the wishlist. In the past I have simply asked the building butler for so...

Re: Just Booked July 1-8

I hope they are open by then. Personally, I think it may be too soon. But what do I know. My concerns are not the resort … it is the airline!

It is a great place to celebrate. Enjoy.

Thank you June for the information. I am sure many will be watching given the current isolation environment.

Re: Types of beer

To the best of my knowledge there are no European or Belgian beers at the TRS or Dominican Palladiums. Presidente is a local beer.

Re: Web Cam Views - So Sad

Dan, it is so good to see your posts! I hope all of well with you. I agree, the resort and the beach right now are not what I wish to remember about the Palladium. I have cancelled two trips … but still have one planned for the end of November. Who knows if I will have to cancel that one also. Hugs ...
