Food Allergies and Disabilty / Accessability VIDEO

Post by CHRISSY007 » Thu Jan 16, 2014 2:58 pm

Hi Everyone

This Video was taken in January 2014 with a Dr friend of mine in G.P Mexico being a Dr myself and having food allergies
I have a huge understanding of what is important...I also spent 6 months in a wheelchair so have a good undertsnading
of requirements and needs.

It was done with the full support and approval of the hotel
and Felipe and Joshino think its brilliant

It is going to be launched on many
Holiday / Travel / Disability / Food Allergy etc web sites

If you have any imput / or idea's / or suggestions....PLEASE write on this Forum and let us try to
get them implemented at the hotel....

G.P Mayan Riviera is the flag ship hotel for anything new like this
SO.....if it works it will hopefully get rolled out into their other hotels. :63:

PLEASE Excuse my VERY English accent... :2:

THIS IS THE VIDEO

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydCWlfUK ... e=youtu.be

I hope it is of benefit to anyone who may suffer from any of these conditions and give you the peace of mind
that this hotel is RIGHT FOR YOU!!!!

I'm not sure if this is already planned but putting in a handicapped beach access boardwalk (on the sand) for Kantenah and White Sand? I believe Colonial beach already has one.

OT.....

CHRISSY, I'm glad the guy that was standing in the background during part of the video was in regular bathing trunks and not a Speedo! Image :61:

Awesome video!

You know, one of the many things that I love about Grand Palladium is they really listen to guests suggestions.

Way to go!

I've only been in the Spa once so didn't pay much attention to what was and what wasn't there. I recall there being a medium sized hot tub, and a much larger one. It would be nice if the bigger one had one of those chairs that could be lowered in the tub so people with mobility issues could take advantage of this nice and relaxing spa feature.

I am traveling over Easter with several families. One of my friends has an 11 yr old son that has a very severe nut allergy. Any info you can provide would be great. Thank you!

Inform Guest Services and they will provide him a card that he puts on the table alerting Staff to his allegories.

I believe you can also get the card upon check-in at the reception desk. The Guest Services desk is just adjacent to the reception desk. When you attend the buffets be sure to hand the allergy card to the buffet manager. He or she will then go and get someone that will come out and show him what foods he can eat and what to avoid. When you go to an a la carte hand the card to the waiter immediately upon being seated. The resort has a great program set in place and he should be able to enjoy himself and feel confident when he's eating.
