TRS upgrade? Cost and is it worth it?

Post by Amandari32900 » Wed Apr 03, 2019 2:02 pm

Hey all!

It will be my first time to the resort in Punta Cana and my husband and I booked a loft suite on the Palace side. We are considering upgrading to the TRS, but am curious for those who have upgraded, what the cost is per day? Do you think it’s worth the cost? We are mostly interested in better food and amenities which sounds like the TRS offers.

Thanks all!

I am not sure of the cost but looking at the cost today of room prices the loft in the Palace is about $100 USD cheaper than the junior suite in the TRS.

Is it worth it … that depends upon the individual. The TRS restaurants are certainly better than the regular restaurants in terms of food choices. Service is about the same. TRS beach and pool areas are better than the Palace. TRS is adults only. There are many benefits … Unlimited a la carte restaurant reservations, including the Royal Suites restaurants,
Free SPA Adult pool Golfcart Service Lobster
Royal VIP beach area and pool with no towel cards (unlimited towels)
Basket of fruit during the stay, Bottle of champagne, Flower arrangement, Free pillow are also provided within the room.

I agree Minou well worth it. everything you mentioned and also Don't forget the premium liquors available at TRS, along with the free admittance to the pool areas at the spa.

haven't gone yet, going in July. However, the TRS rooms were less expensive than some others! It was also only $100 more total for the week than the cheapest room we could find. It was going to be worth it for us, and we booked a swim up, so we're excited!

Is there much privacy in the swim up rooms in TRS? We are getting ready to book and are trying to decide between the swim up rooms at TRS or the roof top terrace at the Bavaro Suites.

Any thoughts? Recommendations?

No, there is not much privacy. However, that stated there never seems to be many people in the pool. There is more privacy than the Bavaro swim-ups which have a path/road right in front of them. The Bavaro rooftop certainly would have more privacy.

That stated, there are several advantages to the TRS which the Bavaro section does not have. The benefits during the stay include:
Unlimited a la carte restaurant reservations, including the TRS restaurant
Free SPA Adult pool Golfcart Service Lobster
Royal VIP beach area and pool with no towel cards (unlimited towels)
Basket of fruit during the stay, Bottle of champagne, Flower arrangement, Free pillow are also provided within the room.

we thought the TRS was a big upgrade from Palladium. When we return we will eat all our meals at TRS and not bother with Palladium. Food, drinks, service, plus use of the Spa, swim out rooms are nice. Just a better resort.
