Trip #40

Post by neller1234 »

ust returned from our 40th visit to the Palladium. Its amazing how each vacation at the new remodeled TRS continues to get better and better. Each time we experience something new for the first time. This visit we used the E-butler service for the first time. Nothing short of spectacular. ( Thank you Cynthia) Each request that I had was met right at check in day. Pillows, Fridge items, Restaurant reservations, Room location etc exactly how we like it, and 100% as I requested. We were met at the lobby by our great friend Israel ( Bell Captain) who took us to check in which was fast and smooth, then after lunch promptly to our room. We will miss him as he is moving to the new resort Costa Mujeres in Cancun. We intend to visit with him there in 2019, but the new resort is certainly gaining a wonderful individual in him. Over the week we enjoyed delicious meals at Portofino Italian ( great service from Ventura and Damien), Gaucho steakhouse , El Dorado seakhouse ( Birthday dinner for a friend of ours, excellent celebration put on for him, with singing and cake), Sumptuori Japanese, Ribs & More ( steakhouse). We had breakfast most mornings at Capricho thanks to Wendy, Elmer and Walter for friendly, efficient service, and Lunch several days at Helios with fantastic Ocean view and great service from Lourdes. Our building was assigned Butlers and they were always available to handle any requests. I was particularly thrilled to see our friend Raphael who I have missed on our last 3 visits. We also had the opportunity to visit with Lizzet, Betty and Christana during our stay. Its always great to see friends who are so much like family. We were thrilled to see Lucy back at the Royal Lobby bar and enjoyed our time there with her and Myra and Alfredo who is a fantastic bartender and always makes me laugh and feel right at home at his bar. Its amazing to me how they can remember everyone's names and even more their favorite drinks. We spent the bulk of our time at the La Terreza pool and bar with Sophia, Santos, and on our last 2 nights Marcos who had just gotten back from vacation. We did spend a few days at the Infinity pool ( what a view, and never a problem finding a chair) getting great service from Carlos, Luis, Arianna, Jesus, Diego and Rolando. Having been to the Palladium many times now, you come to realize that Friendly, Efficient, Desire to please are values that all associates possess and each and every customer receives. The service at the Infinity Pool is un-toppable. Each and every associate has one goal in mind and that is to service you beyond your imagination of what good service is. If your up at the pool and see anyone of the people I have named you are in good hands. If you get Rolando expect the best. I certainly don't know how he does it. He brought my wife and me dry towels as we stood under an umbrella in one of those 20 minutes Tropical storms and took all of our stuff to safe , dry ground. WOW!!! I never seen anything like that a Delaware Beach Resort. LOL. Movement around the resort is fast and efficient has there are many carts, and Frankie & Alberto can provide you with all the tips you need on restaurants, pools bars and the like. Make sure you spend some time at the World class spa and gym, and doing the activities up at the Sports Center. Thursday Night is a Chocolate Favorites night at Hemingway's in the Kantenah Lobby area. This is not to be missed. The Chic Cabaret has become quite the hit in regards to night activities. With a Pre & Post Party afterwards at The Full Moon Bar. There are pop up Cocktail tasting bars every night throughout the resort. We didn't make the Sports bar this trip but the food there is incredible. We learned a few years back from some friends of ours in Canada ( met at the resort) that a nice addition to your day is Sunrise at Poseidon bar with a mimosa or coffee. Every sunrise is different and every day just becomes that more relaxing and enjoyable. There are so many more things to do and see that it may take 50 visits to experience them all. Finally in closing to show you just how much the Management team and associates of this resort appreciate you as member of their Palladium family we were surprised with a Breakfast in the Life Guard stand on the Beach by the Turtle habitat. We were escorted by cart directly to the beach, assisted to the table in the stand overlooking the entire Palladium complex, the beach and miles of Ocean. We had mimosa's, fruit, asparagus tips, Omelettes, a Harp playing in the background, the stand was decorated with Roses, a big Thank you sign, and most of all a Picture of our Palladium Friends the Royal Suites Staff. Memo from Smile Services directed the entire occasion and what a creative, unimaginable mind he has. He is truly a gem and the Palladium Resorts are that much better then their competition because of him and the many others like him at this Rivera Maya location. We were filled with emotion that the Management and Staff thought that much of us that they would do this for us. We certainly felt like Royalty. When people ask us all the time why we continue to go back time after time to the same place its not hard to tell them why. Because it feels like family. And nothing in the world feels better than that. I now get to see my Palladium Family everyday as the Picture sits on the Fireplace mantle. THANK YOU Palladium Resorts and TRS Staff for another Great Vacation. See you in 3 months for visit #41. Mike & Mary
