TRS CAP CANA - CHECK IT OUT ON A DAY PASS OR ADD A COUPLE OF DAYS ONTO YOUR TRS TURQUESA TRIP

Post by Leslie »

Last month we were on vacation with a group of people at TRS Turquesa. Six of us did a day pass over to TRS Cap Cana and we really enjoyed oursleves. Here's a small report about the Cap Cana area and TRS Cap Cana.

Cap Cana is located on the most eastern part of the Dominican Republic and is 10 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport. The whole Cap Cana area is essentially a gated community because in order to gain access to Cap Cana, you must pass through security. Notable features of this destination include the Jack Nicklaus signature golf course, Punta Espada, ecotourism adventures, international fishing tournaments, luxury yachting charters, polo fields and a natural theme park called Scape Park. Upscale resorts are also in Cap Cana and this includes the adults only TRS Cap Cana. As well, once you arrive at TRS Cap Cana, they have their own security at the entrance as they do at all TRS/Palladium resorts.

TRS Cap Cana has been open for a year now and is a boutique resort with 115 luxury suites. Most of these suites are ocean view. It's a perfect resort if you're looking for some rest and relaxation.

There are two large pools on site. One pool is more of a quiet pool and the other has a swim up bar where the POP (People of Palladium) Team is there to keep you entertained with music and activities.

TRS Cap Cana has a small beach area with some bali beds and lounge chairs. A seaweed barrier has been placed in the quiet bay area so there are no concerns about seaweed. If you prefer to go to a bigger beach area, TRS Cap Cana does provide a shuttle over to another beach area off the resort.

There are four restaurants at TRS Cap Cana. Capricho, Helios Beach Bar, El Gaucho and . During peak season part of the Helios Beach Bar will be turned into Tentiazone which is an Italian al la carte. El Gaucho is an Argentinian steak house and Izakaya is Japanese with a hint of Peruvian influence. They try to source as much local food as possible for their restaurants, for example, fresh pasta and fish.

Xtra Time Sports Bar is at the resort as well. Look for special events going on throughout the sporting season, for example, the Superbowl. A coffee shop is also located in the lobby area and offers many different hot and cold coffee beverages.

You may also want to visit Zentropia Spa here at the resort.

Chic Cabaret will be opening at TRS Turquesa in Punta Cana and once this happens there will be a shuttle so TRS Cap Cana guests can enjoy the show. It’s only a half hour drive from TRS Cap Cana to TRS Turquesa.

Not convinced you will like TRS Cap Cana? Don’t forget that if you are staying at TRS Turquesa, you can also go to visit TRS Cap Cana for the day or you can get an evening pass if you’d like to have dinner there and spend the evening. As well, anyone staying at TRS Cap Cana may also visit TRS Turquesa. You must pay for your own transportation between the resorts though. We found that booking with a private transportation company was cheaper than taking a taxi.

If anyone has any questions at all about TRS Cap Cana, please feel free to ask here. If I'm not able to provide you with an answer, I will make sure I get the answer for you.
